After many years of writing technical and legal prose for a state utility regulatory agency, I took up writing at the suggestion of a very close friend. I started off with short stories and eventually began work on a suspense novel that might see the light of day at some point.  During this period I served as co-administrator of Watch City Writers, which operated in the Boston area during the early 2000s.  I retired back in 2019, but was back on a part-time basis less than four months later, which nevertheless freed up a lot more time for writing. Right now, I have one novel submission to a publisher, and two other projects underway.

I've also written several plays, a full-length play including a hit man on Death Row who is offered Salvation in exchange for one more job on the Prince of Darkness, and a one-act involving a writer's characters coming to life to offer him unsolicited advice on his incredibly bad novel.  I've found it to be a great way to learn the art of writing dialogue.

I live in Massachusetts with my two cats, Mackenzie and Penelope, and when I'm not writing I enjoy philately and deconstructing Hallmark movies.
